We baghags know that finding the bag of our dreams is like finding your soulmate. O.A. ba? But it's true right? Nothing beats the feeling of having that "BAG". However, finding the "one" is not that easy. In the case of LV, you have to at least be listed at the store's super looong waitlist just to have the chance to buy the bag of your choice. There's no guarantee when you will have it. You just have to patiently wait, pips. That's why, it's good to know that there are baghags out there, like my multiply business contact, the lv lady.

You see, the lv lady is a true blue baghag who sells brand new and second hand authentic designer bags. It's 100% guaranteed authentic so you don't have to worry about knock-offs. Besides, she carries a lot of styles some are even no longer available in the stores or better yet, new styles that are not yet available in the boutiques. Last time I checked the site, she has the LV Mini Lin Speedy that Jody's crazy about. So, to baghags out there, check out this site. Who knows, you might find your "dream" bags here.

Oh btw, my favorite baghag, Mrs. T, also has a website that offers second hand designer bags. Check out also www.tresormakati.com. Her collection is to die for!

Weekend Recap

So, how was your long weekend? :) Mine was super fun but tiring, lol. Last Saturday, I had the chance to go to the spa for a much needed massage. Gawd! Those late nights during our planning have really drained me out! My body's screaming for a break! Anyways, hubby & I went to Bodytune at the Block for our reservation at 4pm. We indulged ourselves to one & a half hour of pure relaxation and sleeping! Hay! If only we could do this more often :)

Sunday was family day. I met with my brothers & sisters and we all trooped to Bonifacio High Street. I've been wanting to go there lately and good thing my siblings agreed to join me. One reason for going there is to visit Fully Boooked! Feels like heaven when you go there. You see, my sister & I love books. But between the two of us, she's the bookworm. i love it there! Imagine, four floors of all the books and magazines that you may possibly want (and have, if you have lots of moolah) and they have a wide range of cd selections to the delight of my sister (she super dooper loves classical music). Hay, you can't just get enough of this bookshop! I can stay in that building for a whole day! There's also a dog parade that afternoon and we were entertained by the different canine's dressed to the max. They were all soooo cute!! I personally love the chow-chow's that I saw. i love it! They look so fluppy though I can't go near them coz I might have an allergy attack :(

Here's a pic of a "chow-chow clown"

After watching the show, we had dinner at Brother's Burger and there we saw the Muhlach twins. I tell you guys, these kids are soo good looking!!! gwapito & gwapita!! Plus, they are both disciplined & well-mannered. No showing of tantrums whatsoever. Their parents must be so proud of them. There were no sightings of the parents though as the twins were with their lola. Sayang :) We capped the night off with coffee at Figaro then went home afterwards. Boni Hi Street is such a wonderful place to visit with your family. I'll be going back there before Christmas definitely!! plus, just across the street is Serendra. Love the cupcakes from Sonja's and Martha's :)

Here are more pictures of us:

Monday was rest day for me. I planned to go to the mall to buy last minute stuff before going home to Laguna this coming Nov. 1 but I got lazy, lol. I stayed at home the whole day watching T.V. and blogged like crazy!! Hope you had a nice weekend too!

OMG!!! Finally, the long wait is over! My fave brand Kiehl's finally opens in Greenbelt 5. I thought this will never gonna happen since news about the store not opening here in manila starts spreading like fire. Thanks to the fashpack I learned that Kiehl's finally opened! Yes, it was through thefashpack's blog that i learned about this great, great news. I wasn't invited in the launching, people. Sad to say, i'm not a VIP to ever deseve an invite from them, lol. Anyways, i'll definitely schedule a visit soon to G5. I hope i'll never get lost on my way there since most of the guests i heard were frustrated since there were no directions on how to get to this new mall, tsk, tsk.. I'm so happy because Kiehl's already available here. Now, it won't be a problem buying my fave products, lip balm #1 (my tube is almost consumed na) and creme de corps. I only got to buy Kiehl's products when I go abroad. So, this is great news to me :)

I learned it's a cute tiny store. Here's a pic courtesy of thefashpack:

We went to worldmusicroom family ktv in Greenhills last night with our good friends, Charlie and Malou. The four of us would always meet on friday nights just to have dinner, coffee or catch a movie. Last night, we decided to change our usual routine by going to a karaoke!! You see, we all love to sing and boy, sang we did to the max last night! We had so much fun. What with 3 hours of non-stop singing and dancing ha ha ha. We left Greenhills at half past midnight and decided to go to Something Fishy in Libis to have a super early breakfast. Imagine?! Brekfast at 1 in the morning!? All that singing made us very hungry! Good thing something fishy has an eat-all-you can breakfast at a very reasonable price. We had a blast! Finally, after all the merry making, we all went home to our respective homes and promised to ourselves that we will do this again. Good times!!

Sad Story

I read about this letter from the chuvaness' blog and after reading it I cried. I felt truly sad about this.

Good day everyone,

I wish I were writing under different circumstances.

I would like to inform you that my wife Leslie Cruz was part of the
casualties in the Glorietta 2 Mall bombing in Makati City, Philippines. She
was supposed to have a minor out patient surgery at Makati Medical Center at
230pm.

I had taken a leave from work to accompany her there. We dropped off our
daughter, Amber, at my parents place in QC to babysit at around 10am. We
then proceeded to Makati and was there at 1230pm. Since she had been fasting
in preparation for her procedure, she wanted to move around and listen to
some music while I grabbed a bite to eat. We parked at the basement of Park
Square 2, and headed for the Glorietta 2 entrance. We parted at the top of
the escalator, she turned right towards Filbar's while I went left towards
the restaurants. That was the last time I would see her.

Around 120pm, she had called me so that we can meet at the Glorietta 2 exit
just in time to make her appointment. As I made my way there from Glorietta
1 through the connecting hallways, and was about to turn the corner, I heard
2 deep thumps and the shock-wave from the blast hit me. At that moment my
heart dropped as I knew that the origin of the blast came from the same
place where we were supposed to meet. I tried getting to where my wife was,
but the dust was too much and it was as if I was staring at a white wall.

I still tried to convince myself that she was able to make it out, and that
after ringing her mobile without a response only meant that she dropped it
in the confusion. After 6 hours of searching from Makati Med. to Ospital ng
Makati, the blast site, and back again to MMC - with the help of all the
people I could get hold of, that I was able to get confirmation in what the
state of my wife was.

My Dad and Uncle signaled me in from the ER of MMC. My Uncle (who's a
doctor) asked me to describe Leslie's appearance to another group of
doctors. I saw in the eyes of one that the description made sense. Instead
of confirming it to me, they huddled together, then brought me to a small
examination room. It was only through a digital camera that I was able to
confirm (and deny) that she was indeed gone.

I have so many regrets. I should have met her sooner. I should have ran
instead of a brisk walk. I should have not chose to park where I did. I
should have braved the dust and went in the blast site. I should have ...

Today's the 4th day. It is still terribly difficult to breathe, let alone
wake up realizing that your source of strength, your best friend doesn't lie
beside you on your bed. That my deepest worry is when Amber starts asking
for her Mama.

I am glad that Amber's too young to understand the loss and pain. In time I
would like to tell her the details of how her mother died, but more
importantly I would like to raise her as how her mother lived - a loving
person, strong willed, decisive, caring, and nurturing. She has always cared
for her family and friends, and sacrfied her career for being a full time
mom and home maker.

As with all couples we had our ups and downs - none of which I regret not
going through. The sweet is never as sweet without the sour. For almost 4
years of marriage, we've finally hit our balance in life only to be taken
away in an instant. I have no regrets about our marriage. She has loved me
and Amber beyond her capacity. I will always love her.

It is my first time to write to egroup as I've lurked and watched emails
being sent to and fro. All I want now is that for each of the couples here
is to cherish each moment that we spend with our loved ones. Pretty simple
to say, very easy to take for granted.

Thank you all for the prayers. I would still like to ask you to please
include Leslie in them until her 40th day so that the path to God's kingdom
is well lit and she is no longer in the dark.

Sincerely,

Carlo Cruz

Please help spread this letter... Whatever is the real reason behind the Glorietta 2 explosion, only one thing is definite. That lives were lost and more than a hundred were injured. I just hope that this horrible thing will never ever happen again. And for the mall owner's and management out there, may this serve as a lesson and a reminder to always prioritize safety and security over and above anything else.

I'm back from a 2-day budget planning session. This is the last leg of the planning session for 2008. We stayed in Antipolo in the same resort/hotel, Cloud 9. This time, all the officers of the company's different departments/division attended the planning/team building to consolidate our respective department budgets. I have a related post were I talked about a similar planning session of my own department held in this similar resort. It was so tiring and exhausting but I enjoyed it just the same. I had the oppurtunity to bond with my colleagues and got to know them more. We had activities that allow us to peek a little into the lives of our colleagues and i'm glad we did it because now we know where each one of us came from and we will have a better understanding of how each member of the team thinks and works.

We had limited time for photo ops because we stayed most of the time in the conference area finishing the budget and it's raining the whole time we're there. But we were able to had some pics taken because we're such picture addicts, lol. Here's a view of the Metropolis from Cloud 9. It's raining so fog is everywhere.

online bidding

Many of us are now familiar with the sites that offer online bidding. There's quite a lot I tell you and sometimes you have no idea which one gives the best oppurtunity to win an item. Well, worry no more because bid4prize is the site for you! You see, bid4 prize has a wide range of cash prizes and other cool stuff such as Apple I-Phone, HDTV’s, Designer Bags, SCION XB’s, great vacation packages and even a luxury car for you to bid on. Playing is as easy as one-two-three! All you have to do is get the lowest unique bid for your desired prize and you win!
Here's how it goes if you what to try your luck on this fun and exciting game. The lowest unique bid for every prize starts out at one penny - if more than one person bids a penny, then that penny is no longer the lowest unique bid and 2 cents is the new low unique bid. If more than one person bids 2 cents then 3 cents is the next lowest unique bid. And so on and so on. The winning bid could be anything, it could be as low as a penny or a little higher than a dollar and even as high as five hundred dollars! Whatever is the lowest UNIQUE bid wins the prize!
But wait, guys, we all know that not all of us will win the daily grand prize at the same time, right? Don't fret because more exciting items awaits you even if you did not win in the auction. You see, everytime you place a bid, it entitles you to earn points were you can exchange for free prizes and redeem in their rewards program. And these free prizes are not bad at all mind you! You can choose from purses, backpacks, games and much, much more.
If you do not have enough points for the item you want to get in the rewards program yet, you may opt to play in the arcade at bid4prizes. Every time you bid on a prize you’ll receive a token to use in the Arcade. It's like you're playing at your favorite Arcade in the malls but with better prizes to be given away. In fact, it's like you have won the sweeptakes because the prizes are bigger and much, much better! So, the more you bid, the more chances you’ll have in the Arcade to win! Everyone token you play could win you as much as a million dollar! There's a chance for you to win 10K or 100 dollars monthly and even if you don’t win a prize you’ll still get points that you can redeem in the Rewards Store. So what are you waiting for? Try your luck in this cool auction game and who knows? This might be your lucky day! I'll definitely start playing now. Good luck to all of us!

Question Tag

Got this question tag from Jane.
"Practically and realistically, how much are you willing to spend for a designer bag?"
If I would be spending my own money, my limit is between 25K to 30K. More than that, I will have to ask my husband to take care of it, lol. Ang daya ko noh? :)
Now, on a serious note, with the recent bombing in Glorietta2, is it now safe to go to the malls or any public place for that matter? Yesterday was really a sad day for all of us because there were people who died and got hurt. I hope and pray that this will never ever happen again. It's such a waste of life. I will not be tagging anyone but if you feel the same way as I do, feel free to share your views :(

Hair Loss Problem

Have you been in front of the mirror lately? Did you notice something about how your hair is falling dramatically? Well, lucky for me, I'm still not having that problem. God knows what would be my reaction when that time comes! Anyways, my dad and uncles are now all in their late 50's and 60's and they all have the same problem. Yes. You got it right. Hair loss.
Even if it comes with age, they could not accept the fact that they are losing so much hair it's affecting their self-esteem a little bit. For them, losing so much hair is like losing their appeal! Well, you can call it male ego but that's just the way it is. So, I tried to look for and research the best products for hair loss to be able help them in their predicament. I stumbled upon Provillus at Trustsource.org. It's one of the best hair loss product in the market today with positive reviews from the people who have tried it. With Provillus, your scalp will be seeded with proper nutrition to help bring back the healthy environment which will eventually prepare for the new hair growths. Now isn't it wonderful? This product is really worth trying even if you are just preveting hair loss. Yes, it is never to early to prevent that to happen that's why Provillus is your partner now and in the future for hair loss problems.
In additiona, at trustsource.org, you can be assured of quality products as they give you a comprehesive review of various products that you may want to try out. What's more, you as a user, can also give your own rating for a particular product so that you can share information to other users as well.
I will definitely suggest Provillus to my dad and uncles. And for that matter, I will definitely consider this product for my own personal use as well when that time comes.

Hi all! I've been doing a lot of paid blogs as you have noticed. Please bear with me as I have to finish all my paid opps. Sayang naman if mag-expire, di ba? Anyways, will post more about my daily going-ons soon. Thanks :)

Christmas is here!!!

Christmas is just around the corner! It has always been my favorite time of the year. As a child, I would start to look forward to the holiday season as early as September when the radio stations started playing Christmas Carols. Christmas always brings back happy memories of my childhood. This is where my parents would shower us with gifts, not necessarily expensive but memorable as well. That's why, now that I'm all grown-up, I make sure to return the favor by giving gifts to my loved ones and relatives every Christmas. However, shopping during this season can also be very toxic!!! Especially if you'll be doing your shopping during December! The malls are all jampacked!!
That's why, i'm glad to know online shopping now. It brings a new meaning to a fun, stress- free shopping without the hassle and bustle of it all!! In online shopping, you'll get to check out the best gifts for your loved ones, friends and family in the comfort of your own home. No long lines at the counter, no jampacked malls to worry about. All you have to do is find the right online shopping site that will suit your needs. Tobi.com is one site I frequently visit. This site has a wide range of products to choose from. They have clothes for men and women, bags and accesories for fashionistas like me, lol and many more. I already had my favorites though and I plan to order online for me and my hubby this Christmas season. My top favorites would be Vince Sweaters since i'm a sweater person as I easily get cold especially during the holidays and the Paige Jeans which I super dooper love since they fit very nicely. I have a heavy bottom and finding the right pants with the right fit is a must. And that is what I found in Paige Jeans.
For my husband though, I'm planning to get him a Diesel jacket for his birthday this November. I'm sure he'll look good on it! This would be my early Christmas Gift to him as well. I love shopping online at Tobi's. The experience is just so great you will never find it in any other online shops. You see, you can even have an online fashion stylist to help you with the choices you have to make and be abreast with the latest fashion trends. What more can you ask for? Shopping has never been this easy and fun!

Third Treat for me!!

Oh my! Got another treat from Jody! I'm happy, uber!

"Don't just choose your friends making this cliquish and 'just groupies'...Make NEW friends by choosing random visitors!!!."

I'm tagging more friends: Melisse and Jody (i haven't given you a treat yet :))

Lately we've been hearing a lot of gruesome incidents brought about what they call nowadays as "road rage" and this has somewhat alarmed the authorities. I keep reminding my husband to always have a cool head when driving cause you'll never know what kind of person you'll encounter in the streets.
On a similar note, our friends car recently have been a victim of what you can call a "carpark rage". See, my friends were about to park in the covered parking area of one of the malls in Ortigas. They found this slot beside a car parked wrongly as it has occupied two slots giving little space for my friend's car to maneuver. However, my friend still tried to squeeze in their car as it was a weekend and trying to find a slot during that time was difficult. In doing so, the car beside them now had no space at the driver side. My friends have no option but to leave their car as is since they assumed that the driver of the other car will still have accessed inside through the passenger side. Besides, they wanted to give the driver a lesson not to take advantage of the available parking slots. But, they already had a bad feeling leaving the car. And true enough, when they went back to their car, there was a long scratch at their car's body along the passenger side. They were lucky to get the plate number of the other car before they left. However, they are still thinking of what to do next. Will they file and claim this to their car insurance policy ? Or look for the owner of the other car to settle this with them? The latter is not a better option since this will entail a lot of work and will not guarantee a positive result. My friend's dilemna now is to find out if this kind of incident is part of their insurance coverage.
Finding the automotive insurance policy is not an easy task. You have to consider a lot of important things when choosing the right coverage that will fit to your requirement and of course your budget. My husband and I love to travel. We had fun during our last trip abroad that's why we're thinking of having another one next year. We are planning to go back to Singapore or Hongkong or probably visit Bangkok since we haven't been there yet. There's also the possibility of going to the U.S. since my hubby's visa will be expiring in a few years time. I'm super excited!!

I'm passing this treat to my recent visitors: Alpha, Juliana, Kitty, Mrs. Partygirl, Kelly and Gwenmari.

"Eyecandy"

My hubby and I were at the Powerplant Mall earlier today to check out their on-going mall wide sale. Yup, PP is on sale this weekend so you guys better check it out. I just got a few tops and undies from a local brand, though. No major purchase as I was saving up for something more "important", lol (could it be another bag? :)) Anyways, what really made my trip to PP was this little "cutie". Can you guess what this is?

If you're truly a baghag and paid attention to my header, you'll know what this is :)

Yes. It is definitely a Chanel 2.55, but not the bag people... it's actually a cupcake!!!

"chanel"

Yes, it's an edible Chanel bag by a cupcake shop named "The Sweet Life by Ange." "Chanel" is a Moist Chocolate Cupcake with Valrhona Buttercream. Yummy!

There's an on-going cake and pastry fair called the Baker's Fair at the basement level of the Powerplant all weekend of October and The Sweet Life is one of the participants. When I saw this cutie I could'nt help but buy it because it's a Chanel for crying out loud! And it's a chocolate cupcake so i really have to get one. Anyways, i'm not really sure if i'll be able to eat this cutie because it's a Chanel, lol. But I have to consume this within 3 days. I think i'll reserve this for a while. Love to look at it eh. It's as if I bought a real Chanel 2.55! Only it's edible :) Oh, I think there's a Vuitton cupcake too but they ran out of stock. If ever Vuitton is available, kumpleto sana :)

Need Cash? Read On...

I have been bugged lately by a lot of calls from call center agents offering their cash advance services. Many times I was offered a pre-approved loan ready to be picked-up or mailed to me after I submit the required documents to support my supposedly loan. It caught me by surprise as I have never applied for such a loan, although the idea of having instant cash is already flashing on my mind, lol. However, it made me think twice to accept such amount since I have been worried about how high the interest rate will be. Secondly, the requirements they are requesting are quite a lot and hard to let go that’s why i’m a little hesitant to give it to them since it’s my financial record they’ll about to see. Good thing, there are other cash advance facility such as CashAdvance1500 who are offering payday loans without the hassle of providing a collateral nor they require credit checks. Anyone who needs instant payday loans may apply online. You can be assured of a secured and faster processing and you need not have to worry if you want to keep your application as discreet as possible especially if you’re the type of person who is very sensitive about monetary concerns. Once approved, the loan amount will then be sent to you overnight via wire into your checking or savings account. It’s that easy! This is a “hassle-free” loan application which you can avail right in the comforts of your own home or office. So, the next time you need extra cash, do check out CashAdvance1500 and you’ll be assured of a fast processing and approval in the privacy of your own home or office.

LV Monogram Mahina XL

Just saw this new bag from LV Greenbelt 4 at thebaghag's site and I instantly fell in love with it!!

I have always admired Mrs.T's taste when it comes to bag and this new bag of hers is definitely one of the best! Mrs. T, congrats on your new purchase. You're right about this bag. The size can definitely hold all your stuff that's why I love it too! I prefer big size bags so I can put all my "trash" inside, lol. Anyways, this bag according to Mrs. T, is made of soft leather and the color is very easy to match with. Drawback, I think, is the bag's appearance when it is not full because of its super soft leather material, the bag may not "stand" up alone like the other LV bags. Oh well, I still love it and I will definitely add this to my wishlist. Thanks Mrs. T for showing this :)

Planning in Antipolo

Last thursday and friday, our group has conducted our annual strategic planning for the year 2008 at Cloud 9 Hotel & Resort in Antipolo City. We left early thursday morning so that we'll have enough time to check in our things before 9 am, our scheduled start of the planning session. I was quite impressed with how the place has looked like after six years. You see, this is where my husband proposed marriage to me! And because of that reason, it has somewhat remain a special place for me :) Anyways, the place is now a hotel with swimming pools and many attractions to boast of. First, is the view of the metropolis. .It's just breathtaking! I love it! Also, I was suprised to find a lot of wonderful animals scattered all over the place (well, the animals are inside their cages.. so it's not that scary after all :)) There are ostrich (3 in fact), a myna bird (who swears! woudl you believe?!) and a monkey who eats quite a lot! Food is great also from breakfast to dinner, we enjoyed every meal they served us especially the sinigang na tuna:) It's to die for! Anyways, here we are having a grand time eating our "suman at chokolate" for merienda:
TMG Group

"suman at tsokolate"

We spent the first day brainstorming and evaluating each department's action plans for the goals and objectives set. It was a very tiring experience but at least we have covered all the subjects that need to be discussed and resolved. We finishd around 9:30 in the evening and cap the night off with a round of drinks courtesy of our boss.

at work

at play

Our second day was also devoted to planning but this time we were able to squeeze in some photo ops:

We finished at around 5:30 in the afternoon so we had an early dinner and yes, a karaoke session! This event won't be complete without a karaoke session! We are such karaoke addicts, lol!

karaoke!

Over-all, the event is a huge success. We were able to accomplish our tasks and at the same time had fun and great bonding moments with our colleagues and boss.

In my previous blog, I shared about my happiness in becoming a "ninang" once again to baby Nathan. During this occassion, I was also able to see and be with my old pals from my previous work. Y' See, I haven't seen them for months since I left the company. And boy!, how I missed the gang! We've been friends for so many years and even if some of us are no longer in the company (including me), we still managed to check on each other thru calls, texts and the internet. We're quite close and even spent many happy out of town trips and of course, our "friday night" gimmicks! We call our group the "friday group" coz we love to go out on friday nights (even if we still have work the next day!) and have a drink or two and eat out! I missed those times :( And also, we've been there for each other during hard times giving moral support to those in need. I wish this reunion of sort is the start again of more bonding moments with my friday group. Coz I really love to see them more often! :)

I had the honor of being a godmother once again today at the christening of my dear friend Serma's new baby boy named Nathan Wandy. Nathan is a blessing from God to his because my friend have had miscarriages before Nathan came. The couple had gone through a lot but still, God has blessed them with a wonderful baby despite of all that happened. I've seen how they went through the heartache of losing a child and now that Nathan is here, happy and healthy, I could'nt be more happier for them. I was also happy to stand as one of Nathan's godparent and I thank his parents for giving me this wonderfull oppurtunity. I love being a "ninang" because I love children and since I don't have a child of my own yet (which we have been praying for five years now), I consider my "inaanaks" my own na rin :) Godparents are considered as the second parents naman di ba? So, Nathan, welcome to the christian world and Ninang loves you!

planning session

Sorry for not blogging this past few days. I'm so busy at work. I'll be in Antipolo for two days starting tomorrow for our company's annual planning session. We hope to accomplish a lot of things as our group are expected to present our action plans for the goals set for the year 2008. I'll be bringing my laptop and if the place we're staying has wifi, i'll be blogging to death. I wish! :)
