relaxing saturday

After a very busy week, I will reward myself with a "long overdue" visit to the nail salon for my mani/pedi/footspa wherein the last time I did have it done is, I dont even remember when, lol. I think a month ago pa. Anyways, I called Nail Loft Commonwealth and booked for their designer package at 1PM. Afterwards, hubby and I might see a movie (it's a choice between Fool's Gold or Over her Dead Body, which do you recommend?) in Trinoma.

Hay... I love Saturdays.... Have a nice weekend everyone!

in times of trouble

During my recent stay in the province, I learned of a relative's financial problem. They are now living in the U.S. and we all know that life there is just as hard. Though, the pay is in dollar, the standard of living there is much, much higher than here. That's why I totally understand what my relative there is going through especially since they've been there for almost a year only and have not fully settled. I wanted to extend my help to them, not only to help them financially, but by giving out some information on how they can overcome this dilemna. Good thing I chanced upon seeing Payday One, a company based and licensed in the U.S. which offers Payday Advance. If you are in need of emergency fund, this could very much help you since it has a 24-hour turnaround as against other establishments. With Payday One, you can be assured of the best rate guaranteed, no more waiting lines for applications, and can evenly apply on-line, 24/7 in the comforts of your own home or even work. If you are like my relative who has not been in the U.S. for a long time, you should not be worried about Credit Scores since they offer the lowest score possible for a guaranteed approval. So, I suggest you try it to if you needed that extra help.

Holy Week 2008

We spent the holy week in Laguna. It's been our family's tradition to observe the lenten season in our hometown of Santa Cruz where we participate in various church activities.

Last Holy Thursday, we paid a visit and went on a vigil at the adoration chapel and helped in reading the "bihiliya" and after that, we had some photo opp inside and outside the church, lol!

On Good Friday, my family joined in the "Daan ng Krus ng Bayan" which started early in the morning. Unfortunately for me, I wasn't able to join because I wasn't feeling well that morning. My brother took some pictures....

In the afternoon, we joined in the Good Friday Procession where images of the lying Nazareno and grieving Mary were the highlight of the event...

It was a very tiring day but the sacrifices are all worth it.

On Black Saturday, we visited my aunt who recently had an operation. Also later that day, we brought another uncle to the hospital due to difficulty in breathing. Good thing he was never admitted but was sent home after some tests. He was prescribed with lots of medications due to a heart problem and was instructed to visit a cardiologist first thing on Monday.

On Easter Sunday, we went to church for the easter sunday mass with my Dad. In the afternoon, we celebrated the birthdays of my two siblings and a cousin who are all celebrating their birthdays in the month of March. It was followed by our traditional easter egg hunt. Boy! It was fun!

A nice surprise

Before going home last week in Laguna, my sister told me that there's a very nice surprise gift waiting for me at home. My uncle from Canada, who happens to be my ninong also, sent gifts for us and I had a DVD waiting for me daw. I got so excited so even if I was still in the car on our way home, I asked my sister for a clue as to what is the title and siguro nakulitan sa akin, she said "French Canadian sya"... Whoa! I know that! She thought I didn't know and when I texted her my answer.............. I'M ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!

So, here it is... without further ado... give it up for the dazzling voice and the wonderful performances of the great....

CELINE DION Live in Las Vegas, A New Day concert.

A New Day.., is Celine’s record-breaking show that changed the history of the entertainment scene in Las Vegas. This 2-disc DVD, over five hours long, features Celine’s spectacular concert in The Colosseum at Caesars Palace as well as behind-the-scenes footage of Celine at home, in her car, backstage and in her dressing room.

The show is fabulous, magnificent, wonderful !!!! Can't believe that a concert can this be so grand! The set is just awesome! Big Time! I super enjoyed the show even if I was just watching in the comfort of our living rom. Celine is an ultimate performer. No doubt about it. That's why i'm such a fan.

I highly recommend getting a copy of this DVD. If you're looking for some high class entertainment, this is definitely the thing to watch. It's really worth your money.

Super thanks to my ninong for sending me this one. Ciao!
