One Happy Weekend

Hi all! I'm back from a very busy but fun-filled weekend. It was a busy weekend because I had a full schedule from Saturday to Monday.

Saturday - I attended my driving orientation class at A-1 last Saturday at 9:30 in the morning! Imagine that early on a saturday morning?! So it means I had to get up at around 7 to prepare for my class. Anyways, hubby enrolled me at A-1 Driving School. Finally! He agreed to let me "go" and do my own driving, yipee! yey! You may ask why the sudden change of mind? Well, you see there's been a development lately in terms of hubby's career. He's recently been invited to join a real estate company who's into high-rise building development. The offer I must say is quite good that's why he decided to give it a try. Since it's been his plan naman to join or engage in a work that is related to high rise development. So, with his Dad's blessing, he temporarily left his "comfort zone" to gain more experience in this field. I truly support this new endeavor of hubby. I wish him well and I know that he'll do good because he has lot of potentials. So, back to my driving, the reason why hubby decided that it was time for me to learn how to drive, is that he will not have the luxury of time like he used to before when he's still working with his dad. He'll have his own schedule now and may not be available all the time. And since, the company he's now with will provide him with a company car, I can now use our car all by myself. Yey! So, I started with the orientation last Saturday and my first driving lesson (actual driving) will start on June 14. So wish me luck girls!

Sunday - went home to Laguna to spend two days with my family and relatives. We went swimming and spent the night in a resort and we had a blast! It's good to be with my family. I suddenly realized how much I missed spending time with them especially my cousins. We'll post more kwentos and pictures soon. I still have to get the pics from my brother. I hope we can do this again. I had so much fun :)

Monday - it was my mom's bday and death anniversary and we have planned the yearly "padasal" in her honor in the morning. We prepared merienda for the guests and for us as well. And then spent the rest of the day, sleeping, eating, and watching t.v. Before we left for Manila, we made a visit to the memorial park where our departed loved-ones (mom, lolo and lola) were laid to rest to give our respects. I missed them all so much. Will make a separate post about my mom later. It will be my tribute to her on this special day.

That's about it muna. I hope to post more updates in the coming days and also I need to do my "assignments". Got lots of tags from you ladies! I will do them all, I promise! Thanks for always remembering me. Please do visit for more updates.

Take care everybody and have a nice week ahead :)

busy, busy day

Today was such a busy day. I had an early morning meeting that extended up to late lunch (i have to beg off later in the afternoon to attend to a rush work), work with a lot of evaluation and memos for management's approval and rush to the Medical City by 5:30 pm for my scheduled KUB ultrasound. You see, I have kidney stones in both my kidneys that i've been monitoring since late last year (or you can say my urologist, as I have been a very "bad" patient for always forgetting about my medicines and to drink lots of water to help flushed out these stones, hehehe). I happen to also have gall stones (bigger than my kidney stones would you believe?) that's been giving me hyperacidity and that feeling of being bloated all the time. This is another story I need to post separately. My doctor always joke about my being a "stone" former, hahaha. Well, I think it's in the genes na rin coz my father has kidney stones as well. I think if you are like me, who seldom drink the required amount of water in a day, you are prone to having stones. It's really hard. We should be taking care of our kidneys.

Arrived at Medical City around 6 and my schedule is 6:30 so I waited for my turn before I was called inside the Ultrasound Suite for my procedure. I was so "naiihi na (pardon my language)" but I try not to so that I won't be waiting long to have a full bladder since it's a requirement before they proceed with the ultrasound. The procedure went pretty fast naman. The nurse and the doctors were nice also. I'm willing to wait for the results but they told me it won't be ready till tomorrow morning. So, my hubby (he's with me pala) and I went home na rin oh not after we bought our favorite Mocha Frap Light Grande from Starbucks. It's my treat for a busy, busy day.

Tomorrow, we'll be attending the wedding of our dear friends, G & M at Santuario de San Antonio. I'm quite excited coz i'll be wearing a pretty dress I got from Luna in Rustan's. Plus, I really love weddings. It reminds me of my own wedding almost 6 years ago. Hay, how time flies talaga.

Hope you guys had a wonderful day. Enjoy the rest of the week :)

my planner

In my post here, I expressed my excitement over the idea of using my belledejour power planner. I can't seem to wait for the new year and now that we are in the third day of 2008 already, I am happy to tell you guys that i'm now officially using it and this early, i'm loving it! I also had a starbucks planner (which I acquired easily, thanks to starbucks' 10th anniversary double sticker promo, lol) but I chose to use the bdj planner due to its unique design (very kikay, very me he he he), functionality and of course, the discount coupons! Woohoo! I just hope that i'll be able to maximize using it and continue updating it till the year ends, hehehe. Basta, all I can say is.... aylabit!
