On Web Hosting

I started my "love affair" with blogging in 2007 when I stumbled upon a blog site dedicated to the one thing I got crazy about... bags. So, when I learned my way in blogging, I created my own personal blog to chronicle my simple life and my love for bags. Thank goodness for sites like blogger, livejournal and wordpress, new blogger like me was able to set up my own site with their help. You see, creating your blog site is as simple as a,b,c with the help of these wonderful sites. You just need to follow the step by step instruction and voila, you got your own personal site to capture every moment and share to the whole world your thoughts and feelings. I instantly got hooked. I made a lot of new friends also which I am truly happy about. Even if I do not see them physically (some I met in person, by the way) I can honestly say that I am lucky that I have found such nice people. That is why, I try to keep my blog updated all the time but due to my current work load sometimes I kind of neglected it. But when the time permits, I always make it a point to make a post. Through the years that I have been blogging, I upgraded my blog and decided to get my own domain name. Getting one would not be a problem as my current host offers affordable web hosting services. However, just this year I had a problem with my own domain name and for some reason, my site can not be accessed. Thus, I switched back to my old web address and now I am contemplating if I have to get another domain name. But the complexities of getting a new one and diverting it to my old site is quite hard for me. Good thing, there is a site that caters to all my concerns when it comes to webhosting. Good thing there is webhostingrating.com to deal with all my webhosting problem. New bloggers should check out this very informative website to learn the ropes of the blogging world. I should know. I learned a lot from this site. And one of these days, I will be having my own domain name and web hosting is courtesy of webhostingrating.com.

Before I start my series of posts about our recent Hongkong trip, let me first show you my "loots" from Faye. I got these "babies" a week before our trip (except for the lemon swingpack which I got a month earlier) and what a perfect timing it was as I was able to use my new wallet. So, here are my loots courtesy of my newfound friend online, Faye. Thanks again sis!

The box delivered by LBC (too bad LBC put a lot of tapes around the box)

Coach Signature Rugby Duff Bag

My growing COACH family (with the Lemon Swingpack which I also used in HKG)

Love, love, love them all!

and that would be.... ME, lol.

I fell in love with this "baby" a few months ago when I saw it being carried by my friend. Since then, I always checked out Rustan's stock of this baby but almost always I ended up empty handed because the color selection is kinda limited (read: old colors are the only one available). I even asked my friend who recently was in Singapore to check out Longchamp there but also, she went home empty handed. Good thing was she discovered that Duty Free carries Longchamp and the price is way cheaper and most of all, new colors are available. So, a day after they went back form SNG, we immediately went to Duty Free and lo and behold, there it was. A rack full of Longchamp Le Pliage bags in different colors!! Here are my loot from DF:

Tote Large in Hawthorn and Handbag Large in Thistle
Longchamp Bags

SO far, i'm so loving the versatility of these bags. Happy baghag ako :)

Lunch @ Terry Selection

Yesterday lunch turned out to be a lovely one. I was invited by a colleague to a lunch meeting with her Australian-based sister and brother in law who are here in the country for business. Reservations were made at Terry Selection in PODIUM. It was my first time there and I was quite surprised that the place looks very casual and quiet. A perfect place to hold a meeting. Anyways, the meeting was more of a chat as the couple wanted to more about Contracts Management here in the Philippines. You see, they are consultants for Center for Business Education which hold seminars and training for Contract Managers in Australia. They are not only interested in Contracts Management but in Real Property Management as well. They asked a lot of questions about the current status of the Real Estate Business here in the country. They are also planning to have their own place here that's why they were very eager to know everything about the current prices of houses and condominiums in the metro. It was a very interesting chat coupled with good food and drinks. We ordered a lot of gourmet food including a dish with lamb. I was surprised i liked it! I'm not really an adventurous person when it comes to new dishes. But the lamb dish (sorry I forgot what it's called) tasted so good, I keep getting for more. Finally, after almost two hours of chatting, we said our goodbyes and left for the office. It was a lovely lunch indeed.

So what did I get as my anniversary gift from dear hubby? Whatelse?!

Actually, this one is quite unexpected and again an early present since we were just strolling around Shangrila Plaza and we happen to pass by this shop. This bag caught my eye (hubby also liked it) and after a while, I came home with this...

Time to renovate

Hubby has given the go signal to have our house renovated. Well, not the whole house actually. It is only the ground floor that we need to renovate and convert into a living space. You see, we live in a commercial townhouse unit. The ground level was used by my in-laws as a commercial space for their airconditioning business. We only occupy the second floor and use only the kitchen and dining area downstairs to cook and eat. For years now, the business is no longer active and hubby decided to have it converted to a full livable home complete with a main sala and a bigger and better kitchen and dining area. So, I immediately contacted our Architect friend to start with the planning. Being engineers, we already know more or less what we want for our home especially for our bathroom. We love Bathrooms! When checking in in a hotel, the first thing that we check out is how nice the bathroom. Thus, for our own home, we are looking for beautiful bathroom VANITIES to adorn our designer-inspired bathroom. We hope to have this renovation done by early next year. So, this early we are saving up for it. So wish us luck on this new project.

It's our Anniversary!

Tomorrow will be our 7th year as husband and wife. Can't believe it's been 7 years since we said our "I Dos"! Anyways, hubby is planning for a simple dinner date at one of our favorite resto, Heat at Edsa Shangri-la. We want to have an out of the country trip sana to celebrate this milestone (just like what we did in our 5th year) but since we're afraid of the Influenza A, we decided to postpone it at a much later date. Hopefully by the end of the year :) (i'm keeping my fingers cross this time)

In the meantime, this is for you Hunny :)

"Your love makes my days happy and bright,
Into my world you brought pure delight,
Joy beyond reason you’ve given me,
Our love is true this I can see "

Happy Anniversary HUNNY! Love you so much!

Hi all! As promised, here are some of the pictures taken during my simple birthday celebration (a day before my actual bday) held in our home with family and some close friends. It was super special day for me because all my loved ones are present especially my Dad who came all the way from our home in Laguna. Thanks Papa!

On my actual birthday, we celebrated the first birthday of my co-celebrant,our cute, adorable niece, Chloe. We're all excited about her birthday and we made sure that we contribute to this milestone in her young life. Hubby and I took care of the birthday cake :) Birthday theme is Nemo/Under the Sea.

It was a super fun party. The kids (and adults too!) had a blast! They enjoyed the games prepared by my SIL and the food karts which we got from Yanple. By the way the cake, cupcakes and lollies were from Sweets and Cakes. Super thanks to Joyce for accomodating our order (it's Holy Week na kasi eh) and our budget too! Good job Joyce! Chloe had so many gifts that day! Lucky Girl!

As for me, I got wonderful pressies from my loved ones and friends. Among them is a blessed Rosary from the Vatican which i'm super happy to have. Special thanks to our good friends, Malou & Charlie. I have to mention also the food given by my titos & titas especially the Sansrival from Betty's. I so love this! And it was a hit! Ubos agad! Also, the GC's my siblings gave me. I was so excited when I received it. I was able to buy a lot of things, one of which is the 2-Disc Special Edition Twilight DVD! Thanks kiddos! :) And lastly, how can I forget hubby's early birthday pressie.... my new phone!

Thanks so much Hunny!

Oopss! I have a confession to make. I also "gifted" my self with a gift. Actually, this is unexpected and not on my plans but I thought that I deserved it because I have been working so hard for the past year. I found the perfect opportunity to have another "baby" added to my growing "family" through my good friend, J, who was kind enough to get this from me in Milan and brought it all the way home. So, here it is. My newest baby....

LV Monogram Neverfull MM

Thanks Mare for bringing my baby all the way from Europe. Hay naku! I'm officially on purse ban after this talaga! Stop muna promise! :)

Another year older

Yes, it's my natal day today. Hay.. parang ang tanda ko na hehehe. Anyways, I had a pre-birthday celebration yesterday since today is also the 1st birthday of our cute niece & "inaanak" Chloe, so I decided to give way (since it's her first) and have an early celebration. It was a blast though it's just a simple "salo-salo" with my family and relatives and some close friends here in our home. I just ordered food from CCME (thanks to the MBAP and Jane) and i received a lot of birhtday cakes so dessert wasn't really a problem. It's really nice to spend some quality bonding time with your loved ones especially during celebrations like birthdays. I enjoyed catching up with each other's lives. Everybody's been kinda of busy the past months and i'm glad I pushed through with this simple gathering. I'll post pictures later. But for now, let me take this perfect oppurtunity to say thank you to our Lord above for the blessings He has continuously given me. I thank the Lord for my wonderful husband, my ever supportive and loving family and great friends whom I consider as family na rin.

Will try to post more kwentos and pictures of how my birthday went in the coming days.

Finally! Naka-blog din! Whew!

I've been super busy (and still super dooper busy!) that i've kind of "neglected" my blog. For that i'm truly sorry :( *sos sobs sobs * Anyway, nothing major happened except that my work has been occupying most of my time and when it was time for me to blog, I just can't do it because i'm dead tired during the day. I also have been quite sickly nowadays, will tell you more about it in my next posts. For now, I felt that I need to do some updates because i'm afriad you pips might forget about me na hehehe!

And I thought that the best way for making a "blog comeback" is by doing this very interesting tag from Marie. Oh.. I remember I was tagged by MM before with this but never had the chance to do it. So sorry MM, i'll make "bawi" the next time :)

Here are the rules:

1. Post a picture of whatever bag you are carrying as of late. No, you can't go into your closet and pull out your favorite purse! We want to know what you carried today or the last time you left the house.

2. List how much it cost. And this is not to judge. This is for entertainment purposes only. So spill it. And if there is a story to go along with how you obtained it, we’d love to hear it.

3. Tag some chicks. And link back to this post so people know why the heck you’re showing everyone your bag.

I was carrying my blue jean Fino doctor's bag. I got this many, many years ago pa. I think it was my birthday when I bought it as I gift for myself. Price at that time around 5K++. I got it on sale.

Here's what inside my bag. I carry a big bag always because I have a lot of stuff! I'm no light packer!

A closer look of my "abubots":

My daily "abubots": two cellphones, my iPod Touch, a book (a staple in my bag), my trusty old Lacoste perforated wallet, my Coach wristlet (very handy for lunch outs), make-up kit with the ff. inside: i.d. Mineral Foundations and applicator, Nars Blush, Shisheido two-way foundation and lipstick, Kiehl's tinted Lip Balm, Shu Uemura eye lash curler, M&S hand lotion and ACCA Kappa Brush, a notebook, my company I.D. and mints.

Not in the picture (which i'm too shy to show hahaha) are the "kalats" - receipts, tissues, billings, etc. And also, I carry around a mini-medicine kit for emergencies.

Passing this on to Kris, Dez, Vina, Arlene and Eds.

So that's about it. Hope to do more posts in a little while. But for now, i'm signing off and get ready for Church. Ciao!

Reward

Hi everyone! How's everybody?

As always, i'm super busy with work. As in! I've never been this tired in my whole career life! Minsan gusto ko na mag-give up but I just think of the current economic crisis and the HUGE number of people being laid off from work around the globe and even here in our country. Maswerte pa rin tayo we still have our jobs. I pray to GOd that this will be over soon :(

Anyways, I had a meeting with my new boss and I was super tired the whole day today (not to mention the stress i've been going through during the past two weeks due to a certain "incident" which I cannot diclose at the moment due to some "legalities") so I felt that I need to reward myself with this one.....
