Need help on lyrics

Has anyone seen the La Diva performance during GMA's "Experience GMA" show last Sunday Oct. 26? It was my first time to see these girls perform and boy! was I surprised to find out they sing very, very well! Love their voices especially the blending. Galing! Plus the songs they sang were all my favorites (Sometime, Somewhere, Never Say Goodbye and this song that i've been wanting to know the lyrics ever since I heard it sang by a singer, Now that you're gone). Anyone who knows the lyrics of Now that you're gone and who sang the original please, please give me a copy and let me know. I fell in love with the song just like I did when I first heard Sometime, Somewhere. All I know is that is an OPM song but I can't find out who the original singer is. Check at this link to see the La Dive's great performance:

Happy Halloween!!

I'm off to Laguna tomorrow morning with my siblings. Hubby will follow on Saturday because he still has to work tomorrow. I, on the other hand, took the day off so I can go home early in time for our annual Halloween Party. I haven't been able to attend this for many years now since I got married so I asked hubby if I can go ahead of him and he said yes! I'm so excited. Will post about it over the weekend.

I'm also very excited to visit my departed loved ones in the cemetery - my mama, lolo and lola. These people were all very important to me and I will never ever forget them. I have so many happy moments with them while they we're still alive. And for that, I will be forever grateful to God for having these wonderful people in my life even if they already has passed on to a better life.

Happy Halloween everyone! and Have a nice weekend too!

Weekend Recap

We had a very tiring weekend. But it was fun nonetheless. Here's a list of our weekend highlight:

> spent the afternoon roaming around Boni Hi-Street while hubby check on the activities at his project site

> went to two (2) malls who were having a SALE!: Powerplant last Saturday and SM Megamall last Sunday (super crowded this mall but I enjoyed it to the max because I was able to "snag" quite a lot of stuff)

> had dinner again at Pepper Lunch. I'm super dooper addicted to this resto. Glad that they'll be opening soon in Shangri-la Plaza which is near our office. Thanks Chuvaness for bringing Pepper Lunch to our country.

> nice loots from the SM sale: Chinese Laundry patent tote in Blue, Matthews patent pumps in eggplant (nice, nice color by the way), a white Cardigan blouse from SM (which is a steal by the way), knick-knacks for me and a number of M&B Pocket Books which I got from National at 20% off each! I practically hoard all the titles from the October series. This is my guilty pleaseure actually. I have plenty of this at home believe me! No loots from the Powerplant Sale since i was too tired from whole day of walking around BHS. Would love to visit sana the Pink Kitchen but decided not to and instead went to Pepper Lunch na lang.

Sigh... kakapagod. I felt I wasn't able to rest but as dear husband would always say, "retail therapy is your best form of relaxation Hunny so stop acing like you're dead tired from all of it coz you'll never get tired of it!" SO true!

P.S.

> early highlight of the week: Dear husband's new "toy" has just arrived this evening. And he's really excited!

Over the limit

We just learned tonight, after we got home, that the result of hubby's last blood examination was not really good. Actually my mother-in-law who got the result from the hospital earlier today broke the bad news to us through text. Hubby's bad cholesterol level as well as his SGPT is extremely high as in double than the average or normal number. This got me worried because SGPT is related to one's liver condition. I was just wondering how did this happen considering that hubby already stop taking medicines to lower down the cholesterol level (this has been causing increase in the SGPT and bad for the liver) for months now. To be safe, my mother-in-law suggested we go visit a gastro-enterologist (did I get that right ba) to further check and interpret the test result. This is alarming considering that hubby's is still young and I wouldn't want him to have complications such as liver disease like hepatitis or worst, even a sudden heart attack (God forbid!) due to this irregularities. A family friend who just had heart attack need to have a Implantable cardioverter defibrillator in order for him to survive. I would not want that to happen to any of my family member, friends or loved-ones. That's why it's important to watch what we it. And i'll definitely implement a diet for hubby so that we won't get the same results over and over again.

I have to rush hubby to the E.R. of St. Luke's this morning because he has been nursing a persistent cough since last week and he felt weak. Also, his BP has shoot up to 160/100 yesterday at work that's why he went home in the afternoon and spent the rest of the day resting. This morning as we are preparing to go to work, he felt weak again so we decided to go the hospital and took the day off from work. I drove all the way to the hospital, good thing I know how already because I don't want hubby to drive if he's not feeling well. I realized now that learning how to drive was a good decision after all.

We arrived at the hospital around 8:00 in the morning and immediately went to the E.R. I filled up the standard form for patient info and the resident emergency doctor immediately check on hubby. He instructed a CBC and chest x-ray for hubby and we waited for the results for about an hour. His BP has slightly gone down to 140/100, he has no fever but still felt "nanghihina". The results arrived and the doctor told us that he has a viral infection which is common nowadays and a slight finding in his chest xray suggestive of PTB! I was shocked when I heard that and had to ask the doctor to repeat what he said. I was aware that hubby has a persistent cough since last week but for him to have a disease such as PTB, i'm having a hard time to believe that. All his tests seemed ok so the doctor allowed him to be discharged but hubby was given plenty of medicines to take. The doctor also suggested a visit to the Pulmonologist to check on the findings at his xray. Since we took the whole day off and I was a little worried about that "finding", I immediately sought the opinion of a Pulmo since where also in the hospital vicinity na rin. Good thing there's an accredited Pulmonologist of Maxicare available so we rush to the specialist to have it checked. Good thing na lang din, the findings were not that remarkable or suggestive of the dreaded disease. The pulmo said that it's indeed a viral infection and what hubby had was a case of allergy. He then administer a new set of medicines for hubby to take such as nasal decongestant and for allergies. Hay salamat it's not what we thought it was. I double check again with the Pulmo if we have nothing to worry about his chest xray and he firmly said NO. After hearing that, I had a heavy sigh of relief. Thank Goodness!

We just got home. Hubby's taking his much needed rest. Tomorrow, we have to get back to work, or for me at least. I just have to share with you this experience lang and wish everybody good health. Ang hirap magkasakit talaga!

It's another weekend (thank goodness!) but this weekend won't be as exciting as the previous one simply because the hubby is sick since last night so we won't probably be going out of the house (at least for now). Good thing na rin because I now have more time to do my take home work and catch up on my blogging. Sadly, I won't be able to go home to Laguna to visit my Dad. I miss my Dad na but I have to do some wifey duties first. I'll just make sure I visit him next week and we text naman everyday so to my Papa, i'll see you next weekend :)

A lot of people I know are sick so I guess uso talaga ang sakit ngayon :( Maybe it's because of the weather. So, take care everyone. And have a nice weekend.

P.S.

Hey, I heard that the world's well-loved opera Giancomo Puccini's "La Boheme" is now being staged at the CCP. I asked my sister if she knew about it she being an opera lover and she replied with an astounding "whaat? OMG! kelan?" I laughed hard coz apparently she wasn't aware of this and learned from me lang. She asked what language will be used and I said, "huh?" She want to watch pala if the opera will be staged using italian language. I researched immediately and although it is a joint production by the Philippine Opera Company and the CCP with filipino actors, the opera will be sung in its original italian language to be backed up by the great Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of an international conductor, Helen Quach. Nice! I inquired about the ticket prices and as expected, it's mahal, lol. I will ask my sis again if she really wants to see this we might take a lower price ticket since all we wanted lang naman is to listen to the music. They say that La Boheme has that magical effect on people that everyone who watches it will cry at the end of the show. Sigh.. I want to experience that. Remember, the movie Pretty Woman? The scene where Julia and Richard went to see the opera and Julia cried at the end of the show? Well, that's "La Boheme". I hope to see it talaga. The show will run from OCt. 3 to 5 at 8 pm, CCP Main Theater. I guess there's no matinee. So, if you are opera lover like my sister and me, go see this once in a lifetime experience.

ONE TREE HILL Season 5

After Gossip Girl (and while waiting for season 2), this is the one I am crazy about (and even hubby would you believe?). We've been OTH fans since season 1 but during season 4 airing we kind of turned our attention to Grey's Anatomy (which we also love by the way) I guess we had enough of OTH's high school drama in season 4 that's why we kind of lose interest. When we got hold of season 5 dvd, oh boy! how glad we were that we did! The story line is so interesting that we got glued to the TV for more almost 12 hours!? straight!!! That's why we never got the chance to left our house last Wednesday which was a holiday. If you guys know us, a holiday means a day in the mall, lol. But thanks to OTH, we stayed home the whole day and watched OTH till the wee hours of the morning! We could not just turn it off as the story goes interesting every episode! Wow! One thing I like about OTH is that is a continuing story like GG so you look forward to the next episode after seeing one.

We just finished season 5 and i'm looking forward to season 6 which I heard will be more exciting and more "kilig" moments will happen with my favorite couple, Lucas and Peyton. And how did I know, you might ask? Weel, you sure bet I researched the coming episodes with the help of TV.COM!!!

I Love OTH!
