Sigh... tomorrow will be the start of another busy week. Good thing though, Wednesday, was declared as a special non-working holiday. Yipee! Anyways, before I get caught up with work tomorrow, let me share with you how I spent this weekend:
Friday night: was spent with hubby and good friends, Malou & Charlie at Powerplant Mall. We had dinner at Pepper Lunch. It was our first time to try PL. We've been trying to dine there since the time it opened however the long lines turned me off. I haven't had the patience to wait in line especially with a hungry stomach, lol. Good thing, our friends arrived early and were able to save a table for us and order na rin since we're also scheduled to watch Eagle Eye later that evening. I love Pepper Lunch! I will definitely go back there hopefully when the lines not that too long na.
Saturday: we went to a birthday party held at TGIF Trinoma. The birthday celebrant was the son of a former colleague and friend from Moldex. It was his first bday and a joyous one I must say. It was also a perfect time to reunite with old friends whom I haven't seen for quite sometime now. After the party, I met up with my siblings who were also there at the mall and we just stroll around and catch up on each other's lives.
Sunday: sad to say, I missed a family event in Laguna. My whole family and relatives were there celebrating the birthdays of my two titas. I wasn't able to go home because I have to finish a lot of take home work plus I only learned about the happening at such a short notice so I wasn't able to fix my schedule. Oh well, next time I promise to be present na. Anyway, hubby and I had our monthly facials at Bioessence. I had the Oxygen Facial (which felt so good by the way) and hubby got the Purifying Facial. It was a very relaxing sunday afternoon. We finished at around 8PM. Just in time for the Singapore Grand Prix Night Race which I have been waiting since last week. The race was full of drama! Fernando Alonso of team Renault won the race alongside with Nico Rosberg of Williams and No.1 Lewis Hamilton of Maclaren who finished 2nd and 3rd, respectively. It was an exciting race especially since it was the first ever night race and the first ever held at Singapore. How I wish I was there watching the whole shebang live.
Over all, it was a good weekend spent with loved ones and friends.
How about your weekend guys?

Congratulations to the Ateneo Blue Eagles for winning the UAAP Men's Basketball Championship.
They truly deserve it. Even though i'm rooting for my alma mater, La Salle (where I took up my Master's and where I met my hubby who's my classmate back then), I know from the very start that Ateneo will take home the crown. They're such a strong team to beat!
Anyways, La Salle will always be special to me. But I also have a special spot for Ateneo because I have a lot of Atenean friends plus my cousins' studied there, I pass by their Katipunan campus everyday on my way to work and someday, I have this crazy idea that when I have a son of my own, he'll go to the Ateneo from pre-school to college! much to chagrin of my hubby, who's a true blue La Sallian! lol!
It was a great season and i'm looking forward to next year where I hope to see my other alma mater, my beloved UST, in the finals naman. But for now, it's Ateneo's moment so I have to give it to them. GO ATENEO!

Sorry just had to post this. I'm a yahoo games fanatic. I enjoy playing their games. I always check out what's new in the yahoo game list. And guess what? My ultimate favorite game already has its third version.
Cake Mania 3 is here! I've been addicted with Cake Mania 1 & 2. And didn't stop playing till I finshed them, lol. Anyway, I can't wait to play the game 3. So, I immediately looked for its full version and glad I found it! Now i'm ready to play the game!

Just an update...
I wasn't able to go anywhere else today nor do anything on my weekend to-do list except to watch too much of this....
It's so addicting! I swear! I'm now on the season 1 finale and every episode for me is exciting!
I realized how much i hate it when little Jenny is slowly becoming a social climber. Why does she wants to belong to that circle anyhow? Oh well, peer pressure I guess.
Of course, I get "kilig" everytime there's a lily and rufus encounter (to think they're already parents of 17-year old kids),
Then, there's Serena and Dan (who's relationship was shaken by serena's secret),
and surprisingly, Blair and Chuck. I love these two together, never mind if they have their wild sides. I love seeing them together. I think they deserve each other hahaha. Honestly, I get more "kilig" from Blair-Chuck than Dan-Serena. I like the way CHuck "reacts" when ever he see Blair with another guy. The guy has deep feelings for the girl but just too damn proud to admit it. Tsk tsk tsk
I super dooper hate Georgina Sparks! As in! Grrr!
Hay... one more episode to go and i'm off to season 2. Good thing my sister in law has already downloaded for me the first two episodes of season 2. Can't wait to see it.
xoxo,
Gossip Girl :)
I like how hubby reacts everytime I say this tag line. Ang kulit ko daw! Mukha na akong si GG.

It's Saturday once again! It's my favorite day of the week. I got up a little late than the usual and ate breakfast at around 10am. Had a late lunch and now i'm blogging and at the same time watching season 1 of Gossip Girl. I know some of you has seen this already but due to my busy schedule at work, I wasn't able to finish watching this series. I just so love GG! and I heard that season 2 has just started in the US. Can't wait to finish season 1 so that I can now move on to season 2. Anyways, aside from that, I have a lot of plans for this weekend. You know weekends are very specials to me because this is the only time I can get away from my busy work and spend some quality time with hubby and my family. So, I made a list of what-to-do this weekend:
1. Hit the Mall - MOA is having their 3-day sale! Yipee!
2. Go to my boss' Bingo Social - unfortunately, this one i have to skip because
our car is broken and hubby is still having it fix at this time :(
3. Watch the Singapore F1 Grand Prix on Star Movies hehehe not in SG, i wish!
I've been an F1 fan since M. Schumacher days pa. Though lately i lost track
of what's happening but when I learned that it would be in SG and the first
race, I will definitely not miss this one.
4. Game 1 - Ateneo vs. La Salle UAAP Finals! Wohoo! The game is on! We'll be
watching at home. No available tickets na, sorry for us. Ticket prices at
ebay are unbelievable! This is all I can say....Go La Salle! :)
5. Meet up with my brothers and sister for some quality fun time.
It sure is one exciting weekend! Have a happy one guys!
P.S.
Next week pa pala SG F1 Grand Prix! Sorry, my bad! :)

My brother and I were just talking the other day about his plans to get into an online business. You see, he's a graphic artist and a very good one at that (i'm sorry if I have to brag about that, i'm one proud sistah :)) Anyways, his plan is to accept design works through the internet and most of the dealings will be done online. So, he told me that he might get a more faster internet provider to accomodate all his business requirements.
Being the supportive sister, I helped him look for the best provider we have around here on this side of the planet. And maybe, by the end of this month or early next month, his business will be ready and online. He also got himself a wireless router from Shopwiki which will allow him and my other siblings to have internet connection within the proximity of their home. My siblings are all tech savvy and having this one at home will surely make them all happy.
If you are a tech savvy too you might want to check out Shopwiki for more interesting stuff you can only find. It's a great place to go shopping where you can find everything for sale.

Thanks to Jody I was able to grab hold of my first BE makeup and it's the Bare Minerals Starter Kit no less! Got this from Jody and she was kind enough to meet me last night (even if she has to stay late and wait for me while I finish a meeting). We met in Podium (which is near my office) and there Jody taught me how to properly use the BE starter kit. It was my first time to meet Jody in person and i'm quite amazed with this lovely lady. Not only is she warm and friendly, she's also fun to talk with and very kind and accomodating even taught me how to apply the mineral makeup and gave me tips on how to achieve the "barely there makeup" look. Thanks, thanks again sis! That's so sweet of you :) And thanks also for the "racket" tips and of course, for telling me all about your "C"! I'll definitely go to Libis one of this days, lol.
Anyways, here's my starter kit which I was surprised to find a lot of stuff inside when I opened it (makeups and brushes and a How-to DVD). It was really worth buying!

I promised Jody I will post on my "transformation" :) I have yet to try it but I will definitely let you know guys how it went. I just hope i'll be able to put it on the right way or else, I might ask Jody again on how to do it hahaha.

Was in Greenbelt late this afternoon with hubby to check out LV boutique as i've heard from Jacqui here about the price increase effective last Sunday. And yes, its true they really did increase the prices. oh well, that's sad news for us bagaholics, especially if you're saving up for a very special bag like me :( Anyways, after confirming the sad news, we went sraight to Kiehl's at G5 to buy a new lip balm #1 since my current tube is almost empty na. I was about to get the lip balm only but surprise, surpise... I got some other stuff! and hubby too! I sooo love Kiehl's! and the sales assistants were kind enough to give us some freebies!
My Kiehl's loots: Lip Gloss "Berry 1851" - this is perfect for me. I have pale lips and can't leave home without applying lipstick. I should have discovered this sooner; Brightening Botanical Cleansing Cream - this should help even out my skin and to help brighten my face a little bit; freebies like Super Straightening Cream, Abyssine Eye Cream and Abyssine Cream +! Love it! If they turn out good, I might get back and buy some more :)
Hubby's Loot: Facial Fuel Energizing Face Wash; freebies from the same line like Energizing Scrub and Moisture Treatment.
I just love Kiehl's! It's becoming my favorite beauty product line.
So ladies, what's your favorite beauty product?

Last Saturday, with a heavy heart (naks drama queen!), I decided to give myself a makeover and headed to Acqua Salon in Trinoma. We've been going to this salon for several times na and it was usually hubby who get a haircut with our "suki" hair stylist, Joel. Me, I always get hair treatments lang as I was kind of "afraid" pa to trust him with my hair style. Anyways, since hubby is scheduled to have his regular trim that saturday and I was kind of not happy na with my hair ( I felt that my hair was super dull and dry na) and I can not maintain a long hair anymore, I decided to give it a try.
Aside from the haircut, I asked for a hair spa, foot spa, pedi and mani service so that I have other things to think of and not concentrate on how Joel will cut my hair, lol. The hair treatment was first and after about an hour, Joel started to cut my hair na while the manicurista was busy scrubbing my foot, hehehe. I can't look while he was doing it. I'm afraid to look actually and after seeing a lot of hair on the floor, I looked in the mirror and saw for the first time how it went. Oh my Gosh! I thought to myself, " Napaiksi yata!!" I wanted to scream but calmed myself by finishing the iced tea served to me. THen, the assistant started blow drying my hair and as she did it, I noticed that it's not really that bad pala after all. Joel made some finishing touches and finally... my new look! (just don't mind na lang my smirk ha! pasensya na ha? this is the only decent picture I have eh all the rest, medyo tabingi na kasi I was the one taking the shots while hubby's busy driving)
So, did I like it?! You Bet! I love it! According to some salon staff, I look younger daw (really ba?). Syempre, all smiles naman ako. This was taken in the car while we're on our way to Greenbelt to meet some friends for dinner. Oh di ba? Rumampa agad! :)

.... for my new look :)
I had a haircut last saturday and I thought it was a big change from how I look before. Will post pics later, I still have to download it from my camera. Would like to know what you guys think about my new look.
Meantime, it's another busy day at work. I arrived in the office early because we're supposed to have an early meeting at 8am but our boss' suddenly moved it at 10:30am instead. He texted us at around 6:30 in the morning and I wasn't able to read it ahead of time! I woke up early pa naman! Oh well, okay na rin at least i'm not late for work. I was able to do some email checking and squeeze in some updates here in my blog.
Till then. Have a nice day everyone.

Another super late tag from Jacqui. THanks sis! Love doing this!
{Start Copy}
What’s your shoe size? Are your feet the same size as your mom’s feet? How about your sister’s feet? Can you borrow shoes from each other?
Post a picture of your latest shoe buy. Tag the number of women of your shoe size, i.e. size 5 = tag 5 friends. Don’t forget to drop a line in this blog when you’re done.
Jenny and Belle ; SAHMdom and Beyond ; The Journey Continues… ; Mommy Talks… ; When Mom Speaks ; Walk On Red ; 100% Kelly; Life's Simple Pleasures ; The Simple Life of a Baghag
{End Copy}
My Shoe size is 6.5 to 7. Im about the same size as my sister so you could just imagine how I used to borrow her shoes when I was still single and living with her. My mom's size is a little bit smaller. I'm not really a shoe fiend but I appreciate a good shoe when I see one. I love wearing pumps and most of the time, flat shoes. I seldom wear high heels but I do when I need to. I love the brands Zara, Janylin, Nine West and Florsheim for my everyday use. I wish to own a Tory Burch flats someday. And of course, a Jimmy or a Manolo would be the ultimate shoe for me.
My latest purchase of shoe wear is not actually a shoe but a limited edition Laura Mercier Havaianas from Saks 5th Avenue. I got this online through my best friend who sell them. This is the Laura Mercier Havies straight from the courier:
I'm supposed to tag 7 people so here it goes: Kelly, Marie, Tet, Eds, Mich, Em, and Vina.

This was in the new NAIA 3 arrival a few sundays ago when we fetched my youngest brother who vacationed in Davao for a week. I learned that he's flying in from a Cebu Pacific flight and immediately volunteered to fetch him to be able to see for myself the controversial new terminal.
with hubby while waiting for my brother
with my other brother
So, what can I say about the new NAIA3? Well, i've been only in the arrival section but based on what I saw, it's definitely an improvement from the first two terminals. The place is "maaliwalas" because of its high ceiling and very cold! I think I need to fly Cebu Pacific to find out more about this new place, don't you think? :)

I came from a middle-income family and household chores were part of my growing up years. We helped in the house because we seldom have a helper around and the only time we have a permanent help was only when my youngest brother was born. But prior to that, it was all us. I was in charged with the dishwashing and my brother and sister were in charge of some cleaning. My mom had a fix labandera and plantsadora but when they're not around we helped mom do those chores. So, you must say that those two are my most hate chores in the house because it's physically draining, lol.
I am fortunate to have a helper with me now who do all those stuff and if you ask if I can survivie without one, well I think I can :) But not for too long maybe ;)
